Need the best MB/RAM combo to suit this build.
I need to pick out the best MB/RAM for this build, stability is my main concern here, this machine will not be overclocked or really tweaked with. This is the build, no optical is listed because the person I am building it for already has a nice plextor dvd burner.
Case: Lian-Li PC 65B http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811112040 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819115004 Power Supply: ENERMAX Liberty ELT500A 500W http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817194003 Hard Drives: Seagate 7200.10 320 GB x2 http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822148140 Video Card: Evga 7950GT (superclocked) http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814130066 For the ram I want two gigs, I was thinking this MB http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813131045 With this ram http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145590 But it noticed for that MB it says “Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets.” Is that corsair compatible, because its timing is listed as 5-5-5-12m with a voltage of 1.9 I am just having a really hard time picking up a good match that wont give me a headache when setting it up, or give my friend stability problems once its running. Trying to keep this build at around 1200, so that leaves about $350 for the MB/Ram. Also I was considering this video card over the evga http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814102067 is it a better deal? Thanks a lot.

That would be a good mobo/ram combo. Dont worry about the voltage, the ram won't be running at its full speed anyway.
Tough choice between those two videocards. It is dependent on which games you will be playing and at what resolution. The 7950GT will probally edge out at super high resolutions, but the ATI would be king at lower ones. And especially with games that are shader intensive. I would go by brand preferance.

Ok cool, I told him to go with that MB/RAM as well as the evga card and the rest of the stuff mentioned, this should be a good build for a little over 1,200.
