First Build
Ok i have been searching fourm to fourm posting, and i think i have compiled the best list of parts for the pc i want. I just want to see if there is anything better i can do. Really i dont want to make this much more expensive so tell me what you think. Last ive heard many different things about the antec 900, if someone will tell me if this stuff will fit, that would be great

Looks good. If your gonna buy a soundcard, mind as well buy one worth the $$, go for X-Fi Xtrememusic. If you cant afford it, stick to onboard.

how bout the Creative 70SB046A00000 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series...i think i had this one chosen, but forgot to update my list.

yea, i think ill go with the xtremegamer, but guess what, off newegg, 2,705 with shipping, how sweet! any tips on building it? this will be my first build

Best tip is to read all the manuals before you begin to assemble the parts. Read the motherboard manual from cover to cover...twice.
And don't build into the case right from the start, you want to make sure your core components are good so follow the instructions found here for your first POST (Power On Self Test). Once you know the core components are good, then go ahead and mount the parts in the case. Make sure you use the correct number of standoffs...match up the mounting holes in the motherboard to the holes in the motherboard tray before you screw in the standoffs. Take your time...don't rush...it's not a race. Be sure to read up on static electricity before you touch any of your expensive computer parts.
