First Build

Ok i have been searching fourm to fourm posting, and i think i have compiled the best list of parts for the pc i want. I just want to see if there is anything better i can do. Really i dont want to make this much more expensive so tell me what you think. Last ive heard many different things about the antec 900, if someone will tell me if this stuff will fit, that would be great

-Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz
-ASUS P5N32-E SLI Socket T (LGA 775) NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
-CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
-LG Black 18X DVD+R
-eVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card
-SILVERSTONE SST-ST75ZF ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V 750W Power Supply 90
-Antec 900
-Creative Sound Blaster SB0610VP 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Audigy 4 SE Sound Card

for just below 3000 i think is a good deal!

Looks good. If your gonna buy a soundcard, mind as well buy one worth the $$, go for X-Fi Xtrememusic. If you cant afford it, stick to onboard.

Best tip is to read all the manuals before you begin to assemble the parts. Read the motherboard manual from cover to cover...twice.

And don't build into the case right from the start, you want to make sure your core components are good so follow the instructions found here for your first POST (Power On Self Test). Once you know the core components are good, then go ahead and mount the parts in the case. Make sure you use the correct number of standoffs...match up the mounting holes in the motherboard to the holes in the motherboard tray before you screw in the standoffs.

Take your time...don't rush...it's not a race.

Be sure to read up on static electricity before you touch any of your expensive computer parts.
