New Build

Yo, I'm building a new PC mainly for gaming and and some video editing. Lemme know if I should make any changes. Thanks!

CPU = AMD Athlon 64 3800+
Mobo = ASUS A8N5X NVidia nForce4
Video Card = ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCIe x16
Memory = Crucial 1gb DDR 400 (a pair)
Hard Drive = Western Digital 250GB SATA 3.0
Primary Optical = LITE-ON DVD Burner w/Lightscribe
Power Supply = Antec TruePowerII 430w
Case = Sunbeam Transformer ATX Tower Case
Speakers = Logitech THX 5.1
Sound Card = M-Audio 24-bit 5.1
Monitor = Samsung 20.1" LCD

OS is Windows XP Home for now, think I wanna wait a while before I get Vista.

Everything looks okay but you may need to get a power supply with a little more power. For a gaming rig (especially one with a potent video card) I'd spec a 500 watt PSU minimum.

You may also want to go for 2GB of RAM since this is a gaming machine.

And personally I'd get a Seagate SATA hard drive for the 5 year warranty.

True, and you may even consider switching to an Intel Core 2 Duo build - they are the best performing gaming rigs now based on benchmarks and tests. HOWEVER, if you want to stick to AMD there is nothing at all wrong with that, it is a personal decision.

A 939 system is fading away, but it is stable. If you switch to an AM2 system, I'd go for a M2N-E motherboard, Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 CL5 memory, and a dual core CPU (pretty wise idea nowadays).

Thanks for all the tips! Sorry for the late reply, I've been sick over the weekend.
For the PSU I used this thread to help me out. I guess it's kinda outdated though, could you recommend a particular PSU for me please?

If you want high performance without spending alot of money on expensive Core2Duo go with an Opteron processor from AMD. They are the best processor on the market for the money IMO.

Out of the box those processors will kick butt for you and if you want to OC you can't beat an opteron for overclocking.

I have never used Sunbeam products so I can't comment, if you want to have a headache free rig go with a Sparkle, FPS, Antec or Thermaltake. In that order actualy.
Check this out, how do you beat this at $39.95 after rebate?
