CRASH Problems with this build. MoBo + Case

I seem to be having some brain issues working out a case and mobo combo. The combinations i can see the mother boards all have vertical audio slots while the cases have horizontal. The build I have listed below is what i would 'like' to have. I plan to cannabalize the other parts from my other pc.

Intel Celeron D 352 Cedar Mill 3.2GHz: N82E16819112211
Thermaltake CL-W0065 Cooling System: N82E16835106078
ECS NFORCE 570 SLIT-A (V5.1): N82E16813135026
COOLMAX "SLI" CXI-500B ATX v2.01 500W: N82E16817159054
Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667: N82E16820134045
ASUS EN7600GS SILENT/HTD/512M GeForce 7600GS: N82E16814121007
Seagate Barracuda ST3250620AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA: N82E16822148144
LOGISYS Computer CS888UVBL: N82E16811148012

Have you already bought these parts?

Well you just attach the proper wires to those type of connectors (audio, usb etc). Your case will have these front panel connectors built in.

I haven't bought any of it yet Buy looking at all the motherboards and the atx cases none of them have the vertical audio slots(cases that is). How do i work with the audio in jacks and wouldnt the jacks of the mobo be forced against the case and not let for a good fit? Guess i should let ibuypower.com build my pc lol.

Wait you mean the input panel towards the rear of the motherboard? There is a small cutout on the rear of your case from which your panel will be accessible. I hope im understanding you correctly.

And on the parts list, I would make a few changes..
1. Skip out on the liquid cooling kit. Stay away from these at all costs, they are more trouble then its worth.
2. That is a poor quality motherboard with a chipset that is instable with intel. Look at something Asus. SLI is not the best idea with intel.
3. Swap that powersupply out for something of higher quality. Good brands would be Silverstone, FSP, Sunbeam, Seasonic, etc.
4. I would get some Corsair Valueselect ram instead.
5. If you can afford, I highly suggest a Pentium D.

I see a few things that should be changed with your list if budget allows:

-ECS motherboards are poor quality, I'd ditch SLI and go for a more stable Asus P5B.

-CoolMax power supplies are decent, but there are better out there. You could get away with a 450w Xclio, FSP unit, or something from Antec.

-Corsair Memory is an alternative.

Ok, taking advice from you two I have come up with this build.

Case: RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB: N82E16811156063
PSU: XCLIO GOODPOWER 500W ATX: N82E16817189005
RAM: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 667: N82E16820146580
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST3250620AS 250GB SATA3: N82E16822148144
VID: EVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB PCIe: N82E16814130062
CPU: Intel Celeron D 352 Cedar Mill 3.2GHz LGA775: N82E16819112211 Alternatively as proposed to Pentium D
CPU: Intel Pentium D 925 Presler 3.0GHz LGA 775: N82E16819116254

MoBo: ASRock ConRoeXFire-eSATA2: N82E16813157096 or
MoBo: ASUS P5LD2 R2.0 LGA 775 Intel 945P: N82E16813131048

I think that takes care of most of all the concerns yes? I have attached three images. One for the Rear I/O access of the case, one of the asus mobo and one of the ASRock mobo. My question is this. See how on the two mobo's the sound ports are vertical on this case and almost all others they are horizonal not vertical...How can i remedy this problem? Just completely remove the metal i/o section or hope to find another case that fits either mobo?

Now I see what you mean. Yes your motherboard does come with a replacement backplate that will fit your motherboard i/o panel specifically. The one that comes with the case is removable.

Much better component choices. The old GOODPOWER's had a bad rep. but from what I can see they have replaced it with a new, revised SLI model. This is an alternative choice on sale: Sunbeam NUUO 550W

Ahhh now i feel very very stupid for not realizing that lol. Which mobo would you take from the two. I prefer the ASRock but the asus should be in my price range as well. And sadly that power supply is out of stock at the moment guess the price was a steal after all lol. I think i would like the case to the left as opposed to the clear acrylic. The reviews for the acrylic say that the screws were easy to strip and hard to replace. I appreciate the help you all have given me. Does that build seem good to go and ready to order to you all?

If I may jump in - get the Asus, it's a higher quality board. I also recommend a dual channel ram kit, not a single module. The dual core P-D is a better choice than the Celeron-D. If you need to cut costs, the plain old XClio 450BL power supply will run a 7600GT no problem.

You know - you are VERY close to being able to do a Core 2 Duo - are you on a strict specific budget? Can you wait till April when the C2D prices drop significantly?

Aye, i am sadly on a tight budget but i did order the system from newegg as described with the second sunbeam power supply. Come april i can buy the c2d if it will work in that same asus mobo. I thank you all for your help, i greatly appreciate it.

Acryllic cases can be very annoying. I usually dont suggest them unless you badly want one.

Yes definitely go with the asus. Asrock boards are a notch down in quality.

The sunbeam psu you linked is the same model, just no PFC. But you could easily get by with a Xclio 450bl as suggested above. Save some $$.
