Follow the troubleshooting instructions found here. You must remove the motherboard from the case when doing this.
If the same things happens with just the core components (motherboard, CPU, heatsink, RAM, video card, power supply, monitor, keyboard and PC case speaker) then one of those components are defective. Cricket

If you've already done the out-of-case troubleshooter and are still having the same problems, I'd think about trying another compatible power supply before I declare the motherboard to be the problem. Rosewill power supplies are kind of hit-n-miss as far as quality and reliability go.

There may also be a ram compatibility issue.

Not so new

I used Patriot DDR2-667 memory with the first edition of that Intel motherboard without any problems, but it still might be an incompatibility issue.

I would go into bios and double check that the memory voltage is set at 2.2v.

I would see if you can borrow or go and buy a ddr2 stick of some corsair valueselect from your local computer store. Boot it up and change the voltage, and then go return it.
If not possible..then you can try to RMA your patriot for some more compatible memory. Last edited by Mr.Ferrari; 02-11-2007 at 09:30 PM. |
