EVGA 680i & 2 EVGA 8800 GTXs
So, I have all my compoontents in my Case and trying to figure out what to do next.
Do I use 1 Vid card. POST for the first time, Add in the raid array, Install the OS, then add in the second GTX? Or do I put both GTXs in, then POST for the first time? Any advice would be appreciated. I am going to have 4 HDD, 2 150 GB Raptors, in Raid 0 And 2 Seagate 500 GB Barracudas running Independently for Media storage. Totaling 1150GB total. I want to partition the Raid 0 so that the OS is seperated from my Applications. Can someone give me a step by step on how to go about doing this? Mike |

Thnx,
You wouldn't happen to have an opinion on taking the NB Heatsink off, and replacing the thermal goo with some Arctic silver 5 would you? |

I wouldn't bother with that for now. Your NB will get warm, but the heatsink should do an adequate job of cooling it down. Adding AS5 will only drop the temp slightly, so I would get the system going first and check temperatures to see if that is necessary.
