Need opinion on a build for my friend

My buddy just ordered everything he needs for his first build except for the motherboard, he's leaning towards the eVGA 680i, the Asus Striker Extreme, or the ASUS P5B. He's not too concerned about the price, he just wants the best he can get and something that will be useful for 2-3 years. I suggested the P5B but the eVGA 680i looks tempting as well.

What other parts did he order? Including videocard.

Is he going to be doing major gaming?

Would go with the P5B or one of the other P5Bs depending on options he may want. Buying a high-end Sli motherboard is a waste of money. Also, hope he bought a quaility PSU in at least a 450w size.

oops, forgot to mention the PSU...he has an XClio 600 watt...so the P5B would be the best choice then? Is it just the most stable or is it just because its cheaper, because he doesn't care about spending the extra money if it will be better. I recommended the P5B to him too because that is what I have and we have almost the exact same setup.
