I read the stickies I have to say I'm lost. Here is what I have from new egg.
CPU= AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADA5200CSBOX - Retail MOBO= MSI K9N4 SLI-F Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 500 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail RAM=A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop HD= Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM GFX CARD= EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail POWER SUPPLY= Rosewill RP500-2 ATX 2.01 500W Power Supply - Retail CASE= Rosewill R5604-TBK 0.8mm SECC Screw-less Dual 120mm Fans ATX Mid Tower Computer DVD DRIVE= NEC 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write Black E-IDE / ATAPI Model 7170A-0B - OEM MONITER=ViewSonic Q19WB-2 Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor - Retail TOTAL=1,371.59 I wanted to make a portable frag (lan) box if anyone could tell me what MOBO (am2) and case (preferd comparable to the northwest falcon case). I am going to either have to ship this or carry it on a plane back home in 4 months. I also can't wait on the video card some months because the wife has a way of picking at my saved money once she knows about it and she amost has the peices together!!! !!!.

You'll notice that in that PSU stickie, Rosewill is in the "bad (do not buy)" category. Stick with one of the "blue", more reputable brands. Sorry, but that's the best I can offer. I'm kinda stuck in the past in terms of ram, mobo, and video.

I would strongly suggest an intel Core 2 Duo processor; right now they're more powerful than what AMD has out. The E 6600, or the E6400 would be good choices. Pair that up with an Asus P5B motherboard, and DO fix that powersupply!
Also, am not sure how reputable AData ram is; for good value ram take a look at Corsair Value Select 667 ram; you only need the 800 speed ram if you plan to overclock. As far as optical drives, get a retail model that comes with burning software. Lite-On is highly recommended here (I've got two and they're great).

Did you get the Rosewill case and 8800? Did the 8800 fit in the case? I want close to the same set up and worry the card is to big for the case. Would appreciate any response. Thanks
