I also can't wait on the video card some months because the wife has a way of picking at my saved money once she knows about it and she amost has the peices together!!! !!!.

You'll notice that in that PSU stickie, Rosewill is in the "bad (do not buy)" category.

Stick with one of the "blue", more reputable brands.

Sorry, but that's the best I can offer. I'm kinda stuck in the past in terms of ram, mobo, and video.

I would strongly suggest an intel Core 2 Duo processor; right now they're more powerful than what AMD has out. The E 6600, or the E6400 would be good choices. Pair that up with an Asus P5B motherboard, and DO fix that powersupply!

Also, am not sure how reputable AData ram is; for good value ram take a look at Corsair Value Select 667 ram; you only need the 800 speed ram if you plan to overclock.

As far as optical drives, get a retail model that comes with burning software. Lite-On is highly recommended here (I've got two and they're great).

Did you get the Rosewill case and 8800? Did the 8800 fit in the case? I want close to the same set up and worry the card is to big for the case. Would appreciate any response. Thanks
