Initial Bootup

I've done several BYOPC in the past but it has been a couple of years since I did one. I'm upgrading my PC to an Asus Crosshair AMD 64 X2 5000+. I still remember the assembly of hardware but my challenge is to familarize myself once more with the initial boot-up, setting up the BIOS, prepping the HD and installing the OS. Know anywhere I can get a general step-by-step procedure for activating the new PC?

Scroll up to the top of the PCMech Tech Forums page.
There, in the menu bar just under the title, click on Guides.
