USB built into the case?

Hello again, I have another question for you guys. I purchased a NZXT Guardian gaming case and it has 2 built in USB and a IEEE port and some other ports for the microphone. How does that work with the mother board? Does the mother board need to support these functions? How does this exactly work? The mobo is a Asus PB5.

Thanks again.

There should be pins or sockets on the motherboard to connect the cables from the case. Check the motherboard manual as to their location and how to properly connect the wires.

If you are talking about the "P5B" it will have a 'header on the motherboard that has conenctors fro the front panel ports. It will also come. Simply match the case connectors with the appropriate header on the motherboard. Unless I am reading it wrong or I have the wrong mobo there will no firewire header on that mobo.

Okay, so since the mother board itself dosn't have a firewire port or capabilities, it can't support the fire wire build into the case. Is this correct?

Correct. You need a P5B-E to support front panel Firewire.

Unless you buy a PCI firewire card and buy the cable that allows you to connect the front panel plug to the card. The cable itself is not cheap last time I bought one.
