We will need some system specifications to be able to help you, especially graphics, are you using onboard graphics or a graphics card?

Also, follow the troubleshooting instructions found here. You must remove the motherboard from the case when doing this. Let us know what happens.

Im with rjfvillarosa on this one and leaning towards faulty video. Please post back your system specs, like make/model.
You might want to open the case if it is a video card and remove the card from the slot. Blow into the slot and make sure there is no debris in there and replace the card. You might then try booting, if it is onbaord video you may disreguard this info. If the onboard video is faulty you will need to decide what your going to replace as a graphics adapter. Check to see what kind of slots you have, you will need either an AGP or PCI Express slot. No use getting a PCI adapter their old school.

It would be better if you started your own thread on this issue.

Not so new

Surrender Earthlings, even though I believe you should start your own thread, my guess would be incompatible memory - OCZ has had some problems with newer chipsets I hear.

Back to Ortica:
Black or does it say 'No Signal'? I got no signal and I realised I hadn't plugged in my 4-pin plug into the motherboard. Make sure that, and the 24-pin plug is in. I believe the graphics card gets it's power from the 4-pin plug. If not, it'll help... it helped me! |
