You wrote Asus motherboard but the link is for an Abit. So, not sure what you what.
The PSU with that case is not an ATX 2.0, doesn't look like it has an ATX 24 pin connector.

I'd look at something like this. This is what I have planned as a home server, just upped the processor for your needs. More upgradeable though because 939 is being phased out. I'm an AMD fan too, but they're playing catch up right now.

I just have the X1300 in there because it's the absolute cheapest current gen card out there and in my set-up this box would be doing most everything over the network. You can of course switch to a GeForce card for like $4 more.

Glad to help. Ya I like NZXTs cases. They design pretty quality stuff, and the Trinity is a great deal right now. $50 right out of check-out, and $35 after a mail in rebate.

EDIT: Just realized, your first set-up wouldn't have worked as speced... You had a socket AM2 processor and a socket 939 motherboard. Need to keep an eye on that.

Whatever setup you decide on, I would stay away from pqi ram, and I would try to get a Asus board.

Also you said that you have a 24pin psu, but what brand and model is it? You need a quality PSU.

First off, you never mentioned what you are using this for or what your budget is. With that in mind, I am going to just suggest a generic list that is about the same price as your list, but it will be more because you left a few things out (i.e. a good PSU and an OS)

$106.00 - Intel Pentium D 915 Presler 2.8GHz 2 x 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116253

$75.99 - ASUS P5L-MX LGA 775 Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131041

$32.99 - LITE-ON Black 18X DVD Burner - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106043

$79.99 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3250620AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148144

$75.99 - CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145568 - Or this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146580 if you plan to add another identical GB in the next year or so.

$49.99 - NZXT TRINITY BLACK LE Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146019

$89.99 - Microsoft Windows XP Home Sp2b 1pk w/Upgrade Coupon for Vista - OEM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116169 - I would wait on Vista until a couple service packs come out.

$83.99 - ASUS EAX1600PRO/TD/256M Radeon X1600PRO 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121549 - I personally have an X1600Pro and it works well. It is good for mid-range gaming, but it won't run games at high resolutions. I have one and I wish that I would have spent a little more on a better video card.

$37.99 - XClio 450BL ATX 450W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CUL, TUV, CB - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189003 - Great PSU for the money.

That totals $632.92, and it would be a nice office computer, and a respectable mid range gamer.
