This is always our first suggestion. Make sure you remove everything from the case and only assemble the core components. Also, what brand is your power supply?

Also, while it's out of the case, make sure you didn't overlook the 4-pin plug into the mobo... I did at first.

I see that the CPU is listed as OEM. Was this a combo deal for a CPU and heatsink from TigerDirect? If it is, the heatsinks Tiger supplies aren't that great considering that the D 8xx Intels run hot.

Another thread has mentioned Sunbeam... never heard of it until 2 mentions in one day! It's not mentioned on the good or bad or even the 'not enough information' parts of the main PSU sticky. Could this be a potential downfall?

It's possible. Newegg has some Sunbeam PSUs and there is a 580 watt Sunbeam PSU for only $23.99. The good brands have similar wattage PSU for almost triple the price. I'd definitely avoid this brand.

I believe that the NUUO series of the Sunbeams are OK. Also, depending on which model of 450w was purchased, it may not be ATX 2.0.

We need some more information.

Did you do the out of the case procedure that PR suggested? What happened when you did?

Do you have both the 24pin and 4pin power connections made to the motherboard?

Did you hear any beep codes?

Do you have another power supply to try? Perhaps you could borrow one from a friend.
