ide help

can i use a ide hard drive with this motherboard ASUS M2N-E AiLifestyle Series - motherboard - ATX - nForce 570 Ultra

you could, but i would recommend using a sata drive.

i put that hard drive in and it says disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter

If this is a new build, need to go into the BIOS and set the CD/DVD drive to first boot device.
Then put your Windows install CD into the drive and reboot. The Windows install should start.
