Thinking about building a gaming computer, but i was wondering if it would be a good idea to use a dell dimension 2400 motherboard that i have. Good idea or bad idea

Good idea if you are on a budget; It only has neither PCI-E or AGP and is very limited for upgrades.
Bad idea if you want to do major gaming and you want it to be fast. I would personally just buy a 100$ mobo with more the up to date equiptment and features sush as PCI-E, newest chipset, DDR-2 ram. What games are you planning to play, do you have any idea on what hardware you want to use? Also is there a budget to work with? YukonMaster |

BAD idea. For gaming, you MUST use a motherboard with an AGP or PCI-Ex16 slot.
