Building new PC, BIOS won't detect USB keyboard
I'm building a new PC, using a EVGA nForce 680i SLI motherboard. Once I start it up, it gets to the BIOS and detects the video card, CPU and memory, and asks to hit "delete" or "esc" to make changes to the BIOS.
I've got a USB keyboard, but it won't detect it. I've tried to plug it into all of the different USB ports and no luck. I even tried resetting the CMOS jumpers and that didn't work either. Do I have to have a PS/2 keyboard hooked up to get this to initially work? This is supposed to be a high end motherboard, why wouldn't it be initially set up to detect a USB keyboard? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff C. |

You are going to have to try a PS/2 keyboard.
A note - eVGA is having terrible quality control issues with that motherboard. |
