K so i messed about, got floppy wit drivers (intel), and inserted it into my usb floppy drive but they wouldnt read... Now the comp locks if i boot from hdd or cd(blue windows setup screen)..burning a new copy of xp sp2 now. Could it be not readin usb floppy?

If you have only one hard drive, can't set up a RAID. Need more than one HD.

Last paragraph says that the SATA host controller and the drive has to support NCQ.
You can't hotswap the drive with the OS on it.

Set the CD drive to first boot device in the BIOS. Boot up with the XP install cd in the drive and do a repair install(don't go into the repair console.)

You only need to use the f6 install process if windows setup cannot see your drive to install to it. This is usually the case with RAID or with early non-native sata controllers. If the windows installer sees the drive and installs windows, you do not need to worry about loading drivers from a floppy. If you need/want to install any drivers, it can be done after windows is installed.
