New Build, blue screen .....:(

Alright I just built my new computer:

A8S-X mobo
4400+ AM2 dual core
Radeon X1300
Couple of old hard drives, one with OS from old computer

Ok, I just built it, everything turns on fine, fans and all. It pops up A8S-X mobo screen then it goes to the screen where it says you need to pick: Restart in safe mode, start windows normally, and so on. If I pick anyone of them it goes to a blue screen of death... pfft. It has something to do with my hard drive it says. I have absoultey no clue what to do. Anyone got any idea's of whats wrong or what i did wrong? If i left out any details you guys need to know just let me know and ill tell yea. thanks

The OS is linked to the bios of your HP. You need to buy a legal copy of Windows XP.

Disconnect the old drives when installing Windows on the new drive. Then you can reconnect them and get your data.

Does not have to be blank but you will either need to do a Repair Install if you want to keep all the existing programs and files intact (see the Tips and Tricks forurms for a How To) or you will need to Delete the existing partitions and format the entire drive in order to do a fresh install.

edit: On second thought, these posts should continue in the old thread. I'm going to merge them.
