Red face Video & Intel motherboard

Is a video card required for the Intel DQ965GF motherboard?

I have ordered all the parts for a PC but while waiting for them to arrive I have been doing some research. Information for this motherboard seems to indicate that video is on the motherboard BUT I have not been able to get enought information to make sure. I ordered everything over the Internet. The motherboard in my current PC is an Intel and no separate video card was required.

This is the motherboard that I ordered.

Intel DQ965GF Executive Series Desktop Board with Intel Q965 Chipset for LGA775 Intel Processors (MicroATX)

Thanks,

Bink

The Intel DQ965GF does have on-board video, which is fine for anything but gaming. Full specs available here:

Smile Thanks

I will not concern myself above having to get a video card.

I have had a lot of PC's, been in the computer Industry since 1956, but have never build a PC before; therefore never had to worry about detail specs before.

Thanks for the prompt reply,

Bink

No problem. Here's our own guide to building a computer, if you need to refer to it.
