XP Install Error

I've used this XP cd countless times before whenever I reformat to clean up my system. I just bought the E4300 Fry's combo for $159 that came with a ECS PT-890T-A (not sure if thats exactly right) mobo. Popped in the new WD Caviar SE, formatted and copied files fine, 'Collecting Information' and all that goes fine, but when it gets to 'Installing Windows' I get a fatal error. Anyone have any ideas? I forgot to write down the details but if need be I'll redo it all tomorrow to get the details.

It is a bit difficult with that limited info. Are there any other errors? If I had to guess I would say RAM or HD is the problem.

Send a message via AIM to FLG
Where going to need to know the details of the error in order to properly diagnose the problem. It could be a hardware issue or something very simple. For example, when installing XP on my cousins PC i was getting a "Cyclical redundancy check error"...cleaning the CD with some soap and water solved the problem

Edit: heh, mair beat me to it

One of the components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.

A component's file does not match the verification information present in the component manifest.

Press OK to view the Setup log file

I got everything working, bit of advice: Remember to set the jumpers properly on your optical drives.
