Audio Connectors

I need some help hooking up these audio connectors to my PC case. I have a Nemesis Guardian Gaming case which has audio connectors at the top for headphones and a mic. I need help puttin these connectors into my mother board. The problem is the labels are different so I was hopeing you guys would know.

For the case it reads this.

R-Out
L-Out
M- IN
Mic-Power
Ground
L-Ret
R-Ret

For the Mother board is reads...(Motherboard is a Asus PB5)

Azailia Compliant pin definition

Mic2-L
Mic2-R
HP-R
Jack-Sense
HP-L
AGND
Presense#
Mic2_JD
HP-HD

Lagacy Ac97-Compliant Pin Definition

Mic2-L
Mic2-r
Line Out -R
NC
Line Out-L
AGND
NC
NC
NC

I hope I gave enougn info. If you need more info I got my manuals here with me. Im confused on what defintion to follow and to match what labels too. Thank you guys again.

Unfortunately these are always tricky. No one ever seems to create a set standard for labels/pins. But this is what I would try first, going by the AC97 pinout.

Case - Mobo
R-Out - Line Out-R
L-Out - Line Out-L

Mic In and Mic Power - Mic2L and Mic2R (could go either way)

Ground - AGND

And I don't know about L Ret and R Ret.

It should be Mic2R is Mic Power and Mic2L is Mic In.

Okay, I reads I have a headset put I can't get my mic to work. But I don't know if its Vista or not....

Try it the other way. Its worked like that for me with other cases, it might be different with yours.

Same thing like I stated. Headphones work but no mic. I think its Vista. Also, everytime I want to hear my headphones, I have to go to audio properties and set the default to my headphones instead of my speakers.
