Raid Driver help?
I have built a new system, mobo intel D975XBX2, intel 2.66 dual core cpu, 4 gig ram @ 800 mhz, 2 500 gig maxtor SATA hard drives. I have installed XP pro but no other soft yet.
1st question, as the system starts I get a screen that syas: Marvell 88SE61xx Controller - Bios version 1.1.0.34. Adapter 1 Arrays Information: No array is defined! Disks Information: No hard disk is detected! Press Press Why does this screen say no hard disk is detected? I tried Ctrl+M with the Marvell SATA Controller RAID Driver disc in the floppy drive but it comes back with a message "not a system disc". 2nd question, what is RAID? Do I want to install it? Which do I install, I have 2 disc that came with the mobo, 1 says Intel Matrix Storage Technology RAID Driver, and the other says Marvell SATA Controller RAID Driver. I don't understand the RAID system. Any help and direction would be great! |

dont try using raid, it is for business use and is more complicated then useful
you say you installed xp? hook up just that hard drive and see if it works not the other one |
