You don't need the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 heatsink if you're getting a retail E6300...it'll come with the appropriate heatsink along with a 3 year warranty. If you replace the stock cooler with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 you can say goodbye to the 3 year warranty.
You may want to bump the power supply up to a 550 watt unit. Cricket

That's a good list. Do you need a crossfire capable motherboard? If not, you can save some money here by going for the ASUS P5B.
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=434330 ...or the ASUS P5B-E if you want on-board firewire. Wouldn't suggest you go for that video card. Direct X 10 is around the corner, so I suggest you buy a lower spec 'placeholder' video card to get you by until nVidia and ATI release the full range of DX10 capable cards, and you can make an informed choice. Suggest an eVGA 7600GS or GT for this purpose. And if you go this route, consider this power supply - a very high quality unit that will be able to handle a strong DX10 card when you upgrade. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=446788 One other thing - you might consider waiting just a few more weeks before buying these parts - the particular CPU you've chosen is due to be replaced by the E6320, which has double the L2 Cache, and will market for the same or a lower price. Hi and welcome to PC Mech Forums,
It will do fine with most games at full settings, your build looks good but, open up a new thread and post it there so we can give more opinions and suggestions instead of posting on Griffos thread. Thanks, YukonMaster EDIT* You beat me to it Cricket

Thanks for all the replys so far, greatly appreciated as this is my first build. A friend is helping me build and he knows more about it, so i'll put forward your suggestions to him.
Another thing before i do, i was just wondering..with the current system i put up in this thread, will i have any problems playing games such as Battlefield 2142? |

And if you wait till the end of April that one is also being replaced by the E6420 at a lower price.
