New build-for general computing and maybe some light gaming.

I am building a decent pc for my brother's birthday. He's a bit young so he will be using it mainly for doing hw, possibly some light gaming (mainly 2d gaming), internt, etc.. I haven't finished it yet but here is what I have so far:
1. processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2.4GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103751
2. mobo: ASUS M2N4-SLI Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131068
3. hdd: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148231
4. memory: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145568
5. case: Eagle Tech CA-DRG-K Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811117069
6. optical drives: from an old computer

7. External things: I have montiors, keyboards, etc.

Things I still need:
1. Video Card
2. Possibly a sound card (mobo comes w/ sound)

Well thats what I have. I am trying to make this a budget/ upgradable pc, so as my brother gets older it can upgrade to handle better games.

Drop the SLI board, the nForce4 chipset doesn't mix well with AM2 chips. Swap that board for the Asus M2N-E.

You need DDR2-800 for AM2 builds, Corsair XMS is a solid matchup.

Try the motherboard's onboard sound before buying a sound card.

I wouldn't trust the PSU in that case. Eagle is on our bad list: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=131195
Swap it with a 450w FSP here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

Concur with DD5's recommendation for the 7600GT.

The M2N-E uses the Nforce 570 chipset, not the Nforce4. It is a great matchup for AM2 systems, we recommend it often.

You still need DDR2-800 ram for an AM2 system. DDR2-667 won't cut it.

The video card and PSU look good.
