Do We Still Use the Same Troubleshooting Procedure in the Old Sticky?
I see this troubleshooting thread was started almost 6 years ago. Forgive me if this seems like a dumb question, but is this still the recommended method for troubleshooting a new build for even the latest high end equiptment?

When in doubt make it simple.
That's what "out of the case" does. A necessary step with even the latest high-end equipment when you need to figure out why it's not working.

I don't just use that technique to troubleshoot, I do that with every new build I do. It verifies that the core components are working correctly - something that cannot be assumed when you have a problem when everything is connected, and installed in the case. I'm sure it's saved me lots of time. The procedure hasn't changed at all, apart from perhaps a few more power connectors to hook up.
