Yeah, the 5200 FX is pretty old. The 8800 will rip a new one in those games.

What exactly is your 5200 FX? I thought that was only for AGP.

Are you sure it's a 5200 FX? The motherboard you have doesn't support AGP. I'm pretty sure that model is only available in AGP.

Well if it's a PCI card then that explains why it's so crappy when you play games.

Both AGP and PCI are slots on the motherboard. Usually, AGP doesn't come with a PCI-Express motherboard.

Go to http://images.google.com/imghp?ie=UT...l=en&tab=wi&q=
Search for "PCI Slot" and "AGP Slot" for pictures.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two. The entire 5xxx FX series of video cards were disappointing, and the 5200 was the lowest of the group. Frankly, I'm surprised BF is playable on it.

The 8800 is lightyears ahead in terms of technology, you will be very happy with it. It will play any game out there and for awhile to come.

Yeah..and if you can't afford a 8800, even a 7600GT will blow your mind compared to the 5200.

Not currently unless you plan on running Crysis @ 4fps on max settings.
