Wait till April 22, E6600 becomes $220

Unless you plan on running two PCIe Cards, you might want to check out a cheaper PSU.

My set up is similar. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...45#post1234945

Good list. Only thing I'd draw your attention to is the impending price drops on the C2Ds - the E6300 is to be replaced by the E6320 at the end of this month - it will have double the L2 Cache. The DX10 range might be larger by then, too.

EDIT: Hazaro beat me on the price issue. I'd say stick with the Corsair, though. The GTS isn't as powerful as the GTX, but it's still a top-end card.

Your list looks great to me. I'd keep that power supply - it can supposedly run any single card on the market, and it is a quality unit.

Nice Setup..You're using the same Case as I am for my build
Heres a bit better Intel Processor for $35 more. If you can afford it. Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe 2.13GHz 2M shared L2 Cache But yours looks okay, if your OCing it..

I'd say that the E6300 was better value for money - I don't think the minimal performance increase with an E6400 is worth the extra, at stock speeds. E6400s are generally preferred for Overclocking purposes.

So - wait till after 4/22 and get a E6320. It's going to be about $165.

Are those prices even right? It says the e6x00's prices are the same as the e6x20's.
Code:

Core 2 Duo E6700	2.66 GHz 1066 MHz	4 MB $316
Core 2 Duo E6600	2.4 GHz 1066 MHz	4 MB $224
Core 2 Duo E6420	2.13 GHz 1066 MHz	4 MB $183
Core 2 Duo E6400	2.13 GHz 1066 MHz	2 MB $183
Core 2 Duo E6320	1.86 GHz 1066 MHz	4 MB $163
Core 2 Duo E6300	1.86 GHz 1066 MHz	2 MB $163

That's right, from what I've seen there'll be no price increase from the 00s to the 20s.

So then what's the point of getting a 2MB cache if you can get the 4MB cache for the same price? Intel is insane.

I believe that the 6300 and 6400 will be discontinued. The 6320 and 6420 will take their place.

So all the c2d will have 4MB L2 cache, that's cool.

e6600 2.4GHz, $224
e6420 2.13GHz, $183

Don't think the e6600 be worth the extra $40 for 276 extra MHz.

All the 6xxx series will be 4mb cache and 1066 FSB. The 4xxx series will be 2mb cache and the Pentium-E 2xxx series will be 1mb cache. All 3 are dual core, the 4xxx and 2xxx will be 800 FSB.

The E6300 and E6400 actually have 4mb cache NOW - but 2mb of it has been disabled. I guess the quality control is good enough now so they don't have to cripple it any more. All 6xxx processors are essentially identical - they simply "bin" them and configure them to what each one can handle and be stable.
