Only problem with that setup is the OEM processor. You'd need to buy your own hsf and the warranty is reduced from 3 yrs on a Retail cpu to 30 days on an oem (I think that's the time period).

Geez... didn't notice the HSF. No biggie really. You can get a standard HSF for about 10-15bucks no? As far as the OEM thing... I don't really see that as a problem. I've purchased several OEM products, including CPU's, and haven't had any real issues to speak of.

If you're willing to drop a 3 year warranty, that's up to you. That's more the issue than the HSF...

A 30 day warrenty is basically a DOA warrenty and nothing more. Any problems down the road are at your expense. OEM is not bad if the manufature will back the product but apparently CPUs dont get that treatment.

The add says you save ~$33.00 with the package so you can look at it as getting the processor for about $13. That is not too big a gamble, although replacing it would cast you another $46 if it really went out.
