I loaded XP, formatted 1 hard drive (didn't install 2nd drive yet, I am NOT planning on using raid). When I reboot I get the following messages:
Press control M to enter Marvell Raid bios configuration
No Array is defined
No HD is detected

Do I need to adjust something in the bios to get rid of these messages?

If your bios has a "OnChip RAID Controller" then disable it.
