Question New Build Problems

When i go to boot my system up i get the following error

Intel CPU uCode loading error
Press F1 to Resume

Any help would be great, thanks

Sounds like you may need to update the motherboard BIOS but without a list of parts your using, I'm just guessing.

According to Asus' support page, your board needs BIOS version 0211 to support the older version of the E6400, and version 0904 to support the newer version of the E6400. It sounds like your chip is the newer version, but your board has an older BIOS. You can confirm your BIOS version by looking on the start up screen.

And as I check the Asus BIOS updates for your board, the latest available is version 1202, and it mentions: "updated uCode support for CPUs". Search for it here: http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us
