thats grate news but i need some more help i need a wireing diagram for this board and i cant find one and i dont kno were the leeds to the power switch and so on go MOBOthanks

What is the make and model of the board? All you'll need to is download the manual.

how do find that info its an intel chip set but i cant see any info on the board telling me what it is

i think that board is dead when i wire it up i get alarms going of hmm

ok tried what u said in the link u give me but all i get is this alarm sound from the mobo this is a old pc i didnt build it some one els did i was just trieing to get it to work as its better than the one im useing parts are
the board u know
graphics card is a 32 mb st lab and 756meg of ddr ram
the alarm sound comes from this thing in the pic ALARM

That's the piezo speaker that gives you the BIOS beeps and various alarm sounds.

Check that the CPU heatsink is installed properly.

Make sure the video card and RAM and fully installed in the slots.

If you have spare parts that are compatible with this motherboard you may want to try replacing the RAM and then the video card to see if either is defective.

And could you please use some punctuation marks...your sentences just run on and they're very difficult to read.

The alarm sound you're hearing...exactly what kind of sound is it making? Repeated beeping? Hi-Lo alarm? A wailing alarm? If you can describe the sound better we may be able to pin point the problem for you.

its like a. sound that the old pc tape games used to make when loading . do u remember them?
you get 1 singal beep then a repeating beep that dose not stop . its a mix of high and lo pich
