mock build
still deciding wether to get a laptop or build a desktop but heres what i got for a desktop, lmk if somethin isnt compatable with sumthin else or if im missing sumthin.

Please don't get your parts from TigerDirect, get them from Newegg instead.
The case is okay, but don't get a Aspire power supply...they're rubbish. This thread has a list of good quality power supplies to choose from. The motherboard is fine but be sure that OCZ RAM is compatible with it. You really don't need the fan as the case already comes with some. The hard drive and optical drive are fine. If you're a gamer you may want to look for a better video card. If you're not a gamer then that video card is fine. Cricket

also will the dvd drive, hdd, ect. come with all the cables or do i get those seperatly?

The motherboard will come with all needed drive cables.

newegg is known for its customer service and speed of delivery. If your even mildly worried about something being DOA out of the box, which happens, then I would also suggest buying from newegg

you told me to try newegg, so i spent some time on newegg and re-did everything. same as b4 just makin sure evrything will work and that im not missin anything. also i need help findin a OS either XP pro or MCE, when i tried lookin there were about 20 versions of each one and i had no idea what the differences were. thx again

For a computer at home, XP Home OEM will do you just fine, it's around $90. If you need/want Pro, get XP Pro OEM for $140.
