8 Monitor New Build Questions

I have been lurking and doing some research on this site and think I am ready to try and build my first computer.

I will use it mostly for a stock charting program, with some web browsing, word processing and spreadsheet management. I will use Windows XP. It will have 8 monitors so I am concerned a bit about the PSU. Budget around $1000, but can go over if needed.

This is what I have now:
Two Matrox G200 MMS G2+ Quad PL/7 video cards (USE FULL SIZE PCI SLOTS)
Eight 19" LCD Monitors
WD HDD WD800 PROTEGE IDE 80GB
MAXTOR DIAMONDMAX 16 80GB ATA/133 HDD
LINKSYS WIRELESS ROUTER
WINDOWS XP HOME

Will the following build be compatible with the above?

Case/PSU: Antec LifeStyle SONATA II Piano Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 450Watt SmartPower 2.0 Power Supply - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129155

Mobo: ASUS P5B-E LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail (I NEED FIREWIRE)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor - Retail

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

RAM: CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory - Retail

PRI OPTICAL: LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner - Retail

SOUND CARD: ON BOARD

I don't need keyboard, mouse, or fdd.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am not sure if the 2 hard drives I have will go in this build, but I would love to be able to harvest the data off of them and put the data on the new HDD.

Thanks again for the great forum and any advice.

Welcome to PCMech.

That looks like a very solid list.

You can easily copy your old data to a new hard drive. Just hook them up as well and copy the files you need to the new drive. You can then take them out and use only the 320, or keep them in for extra storage.

Could you perhaps post a photo of your 8 LCD setup? That sounds very cool, being a multi-monitor guy myself.

Thanks for the quick response Alaron. I guess one of my main concerns about the old HDD's was the fact that one of them is an IDE drive and I have read on this site that the Asus Mobo isn't real cooperative with IDE drives. Anything I need to know before I attempt this?

Also, I am not sure which of the components need to be oem or retail. Did I pick them out correctly?

Thanks again for any help for a newbie.

I went with these due to having to buy 8 of them:
