First Intel Build - Motherboard Advice
Not strictly speaking my first build, just my first using an Intel Core.
I've decided on an E6600 CPU, Kingston RAM (2x512), and a PCI-E Graphics card, but having never worked with Intel before I don't really know what motherboards are any good. I have about £50, which is roughly $100, but board names would be more helpful than links to shops as I am buying from the UK Thanks for any help you can give. Nuke |

We usually recommend the Asus P5B boards, but they are slightly out of your price range, around 60-70£.
Take a look at the Asus P5L-MX. It is right at £50: http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-P5L-MX-.../dp/B000I7XG7O

The Asus P5B is the basic recommended board for the C2D CPUs but it probably is over your budget. Could go with a uATX board to reduce costs. Asus P5L-VM would be a good choice.
