Your are going to also need a motherboard (ASUS is highly recommended, in your case... go with the Asus P5B line of mobos), power supply (Antec, FSP, Sparkle, Corsair are all good), a hard drive (SATA 3.0Gb/s HDDs are a good choice) an ATX form factor computer case, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and a operating system.

You may also want to consider purchasing a better brand of memory (Corsairs are a good choice) and from a reputable online store in case it is defective or DOA and you need to return or exchange it. Ebay would not be recommended to by parts from in my opinion.

Please have some patience. This is not a chatroom.

We recommend the Asus P5B motherboard. They use Intel chipsets, which are much better then VIA chipsets. This is the board to get: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/121112

Swap your DVDRW drive with one that comes with burning software. LiteOn Retail drives do. Also, get one that use SATA, not IDE.

As mentioned, go with Corsair RAM, and you'll need DDR2-667.

The motherboard you picked put is okay.

As for a case... any ATX form factor case is good. Antec makes really good cases and some of them come with their Antec PSUs also which are highly recommended.

What is your overall budget? What do you plan to use the computer for? Is the budget just for the box, or do you also need keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS, etc.

Provide the experts here with some basic information and they can help you piece out the best deal.

As for case, any mid tower ATX case will likely work. Just be sure to get a quality psu (powersupply) to run the system.

Looks like DDR2 533 MHz memory modules are what this board takes.

http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.asp...11&l3=346&l4=0

Any memory modules on the QVL for the board will work fine: http://www.asus.com.tw/999/download/...62/1362_10.pdf

But.. as Alaron stated before... you can get DDR2-667 and they should work fine in the board too.

You want a good quality PSU with more than 450 watts I would say.

Something over 500 watts would be good in the long run in case you want to add more to your computer in the future.

That website you are getting the parts from has pretty good PSUs. Antec, Seasonic, Corsair & Enermax are all great. Hiper and Cooler Master are decent too.

Don't get their "Extra Value" PSUs.

The case is okay... but I would NOT use the PSU that comes with that case. Get a QUALITY PSU such as Antec, FSP, Sparkle, and Corsair.

Swap that ram out for some DDR2 667MHz ram. The C2D architecture really benefits from the extra overhead. I don't see any on ebuyer, but take a look at overclockers.co.uk A lot of members on this forum buy from there. Something like this would work: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=8&subcat=144

And take the powersupply seriously. A bad unit can make your system unstable at best and can kill other components if/when it dies.

The PSU will have all the power cables needed to run all the components and such.

Your motherboard should come with many of the data cables such as IDE cables, SATA cables, and etc.

The Antec Sonata II is a great case and power supply combination: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/93403 Its one of the few cases that come with a good PSU.

If that doesn't work for you, feel free to pick out any case you like. The power supply is whats important. And if the case comes with one, you can replace them easily. For your setup, you won't need a terribly large wattage unit. One of these would be great:

FSP Blue Storm 400w: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...123&subcat=484
Antec SmartPower 450w: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/90611
Seasonic 430w: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/104478

Nope. The Antec is the only thing that comes close. You'll have to look on your own for cases that you like. Only you know your style. Then replace the power supply with one of the ones I listed. And remember, the power is never an area to go cheap on, we can trim the budget elsewhere if needed.
