frist timer needing help

hi guys this is my first time here and my first time building a computer.
im looking to build a decent gaming computer and to do some video editing.
my os would be windows xp.
im pretty new at this and have no real idea how to get this to work and was wondering if you guys could help.

my parts are

im not sure if these item are compatible, but feel free to tell me if they are not and if you have a better alternative.

im trying to keep the price below $1200 as much as possible.

p.s if i do get these parts would they be compatible if i ever decide to upgrade to vista?

I wouldn't get the Rosewill PSU. Go with Antec or Corsair.

Don't see an optical drive on the list. If you decide to go with one... grab a Lite-On SATA drive.

That Lite-On SATA burner is fine.

Everything but the Rosewill power supply and the A-Data memory is fine. Rosewill power supplies are questionable quality and I'm not sure if the A-Data memory will be compatible with that motherboard. Many here have used Corsair ValueSelect memory with the P5B motherboards with great success.
