You need a ATX 2.x (x being any number) PSU.
Make sure you get a brand from the "good" list here: What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside |

thanks so much for the info ..greatly appreciated..one more question..is the power supply I use dependant on the motherboard i use or the processor. I dont know alot about power supplys but am wondering if power supplies can have an influence on the performance of your system.

The power supply is dependent on all of your components you plan to install in the computer. It has to have enough power to run you entire system stable.
If you want... you can post your system specs and we can make some suggestions. |
