Go with this PSU instead of the one included with the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139001

Also go with the SATA optical drive instead of the IDE one you have picked out. Here is a good one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106072

Also are you planning to overclock? If not... you don't need the memory you picked out. Just go with the Corsair XMS2 or Value Select lineup. DDR2 667 would be a good match.

And if you don't need the extra features of the ASUS P5B Deluxe board... you can just go with the regular ASUS P5B board.

I honestly can't tell a difference when using Sata dvd drives from IDE.. I like IDE better because more things could go wrong with Sata.. But, Do you think I need a bigger PSU?

What RAm would you recomend? The Mobo and ram are in a combo, that's why I chose them, 10 bucks cheaper.. But if someone can find me some better ram cheaper then that, then please help me out.

Thanks

The big difference between SATA and IDE opticals in this case is that the IDE controller on the ASUS P5B is non-native and has quite a few stability issues.

That motherboard has 7 SATA ports, so I wouldn't worry too much about running out :-)

RAM:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145098
$76 :-)

You don't need the dominators unless you're planning some serious overclocking. For everyday use, the value select line is plenty fast (it's actually clocked slightly higher than your processor can utilize).

You don't need a "bigger" PSU... you just need a quality unit... the one included with Raidmax cases are on the low end. Look at the Corsair one I suggested in the previous post. There are some less pricey ones on NewEgg if you want spend less. Just make sure it is ATX 2.x with around 450 to 500 watts of power. Make sure you go with a quality brand such as FSP, Corsair, Antec, Sparkle, Seasonic, OCZ, Enermax, or Enlight.

As for memory go with Corsair... ValueSelect or XMS2:

Looks compatible, but I still think the ram is overkill. Nothing wrong with it, but you're spending twice as much as you need to.

Yes it is. It's a perfect match the processor. Well actually it's a step faster but it's the closest you can get. You'd only need the $100 stuff if you plan to overclock the system. I'm having the same debate with myself over a $1,500 box if I want the head room or not so yes it's fine.

Nope. If you really want to split the diffrence between price and the option of OCing, look at this G.Skill RAM. Just ran across the deal a few minutes ago in a forum search and reviews say it works great with P5B series motherboards. You really don't want to mess with off brand generic stuff as I'm sure you've guessed by the choices you've been putting up, but G.Skill is one of the common enthisest brands along with OCZ and Mushkin. Corsair value is a favorate here because of the price and quality, but you can look at those 3 along with what you've already listed too.

The cheaper Value Select ram will perform just as well as the 158 dollar stuff.

The more expensive ram is capable of higher speeds than the processor you are getting, so it would be forced to slow down and run in line with the processor.

The cheaper VS ram runs at the same speed as your processor, so you're able to use all the speed you pay for :-)

Yep... just go with the Value Select DDR2 667... since you're not planning to overclock.

What operating system? On XP you should have no problems.

My friend just installed the 8800GTX with an e6600 no problem.
