cable question

I ordered a LiteOn DVD burner Retail version and a LiteOn DVDROM OEM version. The OEM version didn't come with any cables. Will I need to order a cable or will those come with my retail mother board or retail power supply? The motherboard and rest of the components are set to arrive tomorrow.

The cables will come with your motherboard and PSU, no worries. All retail motherboards these days come with at least 2 SATA cables if not enough for all the slots on the board.

Haha, yeah. My motherboard has 8 sata slots(WHY?!)and only came with 2 sata cables. I was like "...thanks..." And then my power supply did this **** where the 2nd sata connector was in line with the first one. So you could only connect 2 hard drvies, not 1 hdd and 1 optical drive. Luckily my hdd came with a 4 pin molex connector just in case. Gotta love western digital

SATA does not gang like PATA. You need a port for each device.
