New build off to a GREAT start but one hitch...

during the installation process of XP, i forgot to plug in the keyboard and mouse and so i had to turn off the pc, when i turned it on again, everything start up fine, the motherboard screen came up, but then when it changed screen, it just gets stuck on:

and it never changes, just blinks. I try starting it over and over again and same thing. Tried resetting defaults. Nothing.
I just thought I could somehow erase everthing and start again. Is that possible? Or how could I access the ms-dos screen to boot the cd-rom again?

Try resetting the BIOS via the motherboard jumper, then change your boot order to CD first and try installing again.

There are two ways to do it.
1. Check your motherboard manual for the "clear cmos jumper". Leave the motherboard battery and the mains power cable (optional) in place and then put the jumper in the clear position for approximately ten seconds, make sure you move the jumper back to the "normal" position before attempting to start your machine up.
2. Remove the mains power cable from the wall outlet or the back of your computer, now remove the motherboard battery for approximately two minutes. Replace the battery and the mains cable and start your machine in the normal way.
Make sure all the peripherals (monitor, keyboard and mouse) are plugged in before starting the machine up for the first time.
Do you know how to access the BIOS and change the boot order?

According to the manual for that board the motherboard battery is in the bottom right hand corner.
Page 1-19 gives clear instructions on how to clear the CMOS by the use of the jumper (CLRTC).
