Apevia power supplies are not good to begin with... swap that out first for a QUALITY power supply and see if the issue is resolved.

Here is a list of good ones to look for: What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside

What I would recommend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139001

If you don't want to spend too much here is one that is good for your current setup: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104954

Do you have everything installed correctly?

Both the 24-pin and 4(or 8pin) ATX12V connector hooked up to the motherboard?

Are you sure there is nothing shorting out the motherboard... loose screws and such? Do you have the brass standoffs mounted between the case and the motherboard?

Try shorting out the power pins and see if the system will power on.

***I really would advise you to swap out the power supply first before anything else. If the power supply you have now is in fact bad... it could damage other components in your system which would in effect cost you even more money... if you want... borrow a good PSU from another system or a friend and see if your machine works... if is does... then the original PSU is confirmed dead and you will need a new one.

Is the capacitor itself bent or the metal contacts that connect it to the board?

It shouldn't cause a problem if it is just the contacts as long as they do not break off.

If the capacitor is bent itself... I would return the board for a replacement.

You can always try swapping in a working PSU in the system first... just to see if the Apevia PSU is bad... you definately need to consider getting yourself a QUALITY PSU though. It is probably one of the most vital components in your system.

I have heard and seen their cases... their power supplies sounded like an off brand initially to me (that is my fault for not looking into it)... but I did some research and looks like their PSUs are okay.

Just try another PSU and see if the problem goes away. Otherwise I would send the motherboard back for a replacement since the bent capacitator could be the issue.

Hmm I need some more opinions here, but I dont believe that XFX would be a very good quality mobo, not to my knowledge. I would suggest Asus or something of that sort.

I asked that in my second post to you but you never answered.

You NEED to have the standoffs installed between the case and the motherboard... otherwise the case will short out the motherboard.
