question about coolermaster

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has bought a cooler master centurion case from newegg that had a rebate. I heard that cooler master does not keep their word when it comes to their rebates.

theres currently this case with a $10 rebate. still debating if I should get it.

I wouldn't make a $10 savings a decision in whether to get the case or not. If you like the looks and functionality of the case go for it.

Keep in mind companies usually have a 3rd party doing the rebates...so it all depends on who that is.

Just make sure you keep copies of everything you send in... plus when you send the rebate material out... add on the delivery confirmation feature to it.

This way if the rebate does not come... you can call up the rebate center and have good proof that you did send everything in and it was delivered to the rebate center before the due date.

That's a good policy to get into for any paperwork you have to send out. Make copies for yourself every time and use a mailing method you can track. Saved me on more then one occasion, but as blue said, don't make this the main decision maker. Check www.directron and www.zipzoomfly.com as well as your local computer stores for cases before buying. You want to get the best deal on the case that you can because it costs so much to ship.

Hey Cheese, first of all nice case, I have the exact same one. Very cool case.

When I bought mine it had a rebate also and I had no problems with CoolerMaster getting my rebate to me within the alloted 8 weeks. But like the other guys said, don't let the fear of not getting your rebate back keep you from buying it. It's a good case and will serve you very well in the long run.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about sending it priority mail or via FedEx / UPS so you can show that yes someone signed for it and they can't mess with you about not receiving it.

Yep... I know if you go with USPS... you can add on delivery confirmation... which basically allows you to go to the USPS website... type in the number they give you... and have valid confirmation that the package was delivered to the destination and the date and time delivered.

Yep. You can add that to Priority Mail with no extra cost. I used it for everything when I was mailing out graduate school applications.

Are you sure that you heard this about CoolerMaster? You (or whom you heard this all from) could be confusing the company with Coolmax - they're absolutely terrible with rebates.

That's a nice case btw.

no, im sure it is coolermaster because one time they offered a rebate for their power supply and some people mentioned about how coolermaster tried to make excuses so they wouldnt have to send the rebate.

When sending in for rebates you must include everything they tell you to include. When I got my case in there were UPC codes all over the box. I think I counted 15 or more. Of course they are from shipping and all that good stuff but UPS likes to put their stickers over top of the needed UPC to be sent back to get the rebate.

Just make sure you follow exactly what the rebate form says and you'll be OK.

I have the Centurion case and though I haven't received the check yet, the last time I checked status online it was approved and waiting to send the check out.

CoolerMaster is a pretty classy company, from my dealings with them. If people complained, it's likely because they themselves messed up.
