Unhappy PC won't start

Hello

I'm a first time builder. I have configured my PC as follows:

Motherboard: Intel(R) Desktop Board DP965LT
Memory_Solution : Kingston 2GB PC2-6400 CL5 240-Pin DIMM Kit (2 pcs.)
Video_manufacturer: ATI
Video_model: RadeonX1650XT
CPU: Intel(R) Core 2 Duo

After I finihed installing all components y connected the power supply and turn the computer on.

The fans starts spinning and the green LED on the board lights up, but it keeps restarting over and over.

I haven't seen the first image on my monitor yet.

PLEASE HELP ME! I'M DESPERATE!

I don't believe the X1650XT has its own power connection.

Welcome to PCMech luichy.

Do you have both the 24 pin ATX power and the separate 4pin power connection on the motherboard?

What is the model of your power supply?

I have both the connectors connected to the motherboard.

The PSU is an Antec Neo HE430

Thanks for helping.

Double check and make sure everything is connected and seated properly.

Do you have brass standoffs between the motherboard and the case?

Try building the system "outside of the case" on a nonconductive surface. Keep on the essential parts hooked up... power supply... video card... processor... processor heatsink & fan... ONE stick of memory... and the motherboard... once you have everything installed... short the power pins with a screw driver. If you are still having problems... then there is something wrong with one or more of the components.

I have built the system out of the case and quadrupeled checked and reseated every component. This is becoming very annoying.

Try leaving the memory completely out and see if it the restart cycle still continues. Kingston memory isn't as good as it used to be.

Thanks everyone. I installed a new PSU and now it works fine.

New problem though. I get this error message when trying to install Windows:

PXE-E51: No DHCP or proxyDHCP offers were received

What could be wrong?

Thanks

Go into your BIOS setup and change the boot order. The CD drive should be the first boot device and the HDD should be the second. You can disable boot from the network card if it is there. That should get rid of the message.

Thanks everyone.

I'm finally installing Windows. The problem was the DVD wasn't connected.

Thank you for everything.

So the original Antec Neo HE430 was defective? Did you contact Antec for a RMA?
