Looks pretty much perfect. I personally think the vista edition board is more of a gimmick then useful, but thats up to you.

4Gb is fine as long as you have Vista 64bit. Something I would suggest you stay away from right now.

If your not worried about overclocking you can save some money by buying a PC5300 kit of memory.

thanks - so 4GB on 32bit VISTA would not be used. I will drop back to 2.

When are you going to build this computer? Seems you were talking about this back in January.

32-bit versions on Windows will only utilize 3 to 3.2 GB of memory. So if you want 4GB... you need a 64-bit version on Windows.

2GB should be more than the enough by the way.

And you can go with the regular ASUS P5B board instead... that is if you do not need the features from the ASUS P5B Premium Vista Edition.

Thanks - indeed earlier attempts at build never happened due to non-pc related constraints.

That has now been sorted and looks like we are good to go! Wanted to check nothing new had come up apart from the new Sonata case.

raptors arnt especially quiet..... just thought id point that out since you said "quiet"

not sure if that card has a mount for a fan, but you may want to put a low RPM fan on it, rather from undervolting the fan or buying one

although it will void your warranty, if you really want quiet then you will want a aftermarket cpu cooler.

one of the best : Scythe SCNJ-1100P 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler
