I can not get WP to load. I have the following:

Load Gigabyte GBB360 AHCI control at F6 prompt on installing windows

WP stops loading with problem detected & windows has been shutdown.

Check for viruses. remove newly installed HD or controller. Check HD configration.

Stop:
0x0000007B (0xF78D2524,

I would be very thankful for any advice on how to get WP to load.

You need to change the AHCI mode setting to IDE mode for now. This can be found on the "Integrated Periperals" section in the BIOS setup under "Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode".


Then run the Windows installation.. during setup hit F6 to install the SATA (ACHI) drivers for your motherboard... once the Windows installation is complete... you can go back into the BIOS and change it back to AHCI mode... and you should not get the "0x7B BSOD STOP" error anymore

What is "WP"? It looks like you're trying to install Windows Media Center.

Yeah... I was wondering what WP was too. I assumed he was trying to load XP since he was talking about hitting F6 during installation.
