No Power Only buzzing sound

I have a 500 watt smartpower antec powersupply.. I can name the rest of the system but I dont think its important yet since all I do is connect the power supply which I am reusing from my old computer and i flip the switch to I and I here a high pitched buzz I tried to press the power button didnt notice anything different (my motherboard does have a 8 pin connector for the CPU and i am only using the 4 pin .. I have it in the instructed slots if using a 4 pin) when i flip the switch back to O I here the sound wind down. Anyone know what this is?

I'm not sure what the sound is but it does sound as if that Antec PSU is defective.

Send a message via AIM to Mr.Ferrari
Well does it make the sound when you put it back into the original computer?

You need to get a good PSU! New Motherboards dont tend to like old power supplys for some reason. I mean at least thats what iv experienced.
