What is the budget for this build, and what is its purpose (e.g. gaming). Also do you plan to overclock or not?
Do you already have a graphics card and hdd to put into this build? If you do not, then you are going to need to buy one. Also make sure you get a decent power supply, you can see the PCMech list of recommendations here. |

Personally I would get the E6600 rather than the E6700 because the difference is not enough to warrant the huge different in price.
If you are putting an after market CPU cooler on then I would use some Arctic Silver 5 like you said, but just so you know when you don't put on the retail cooler this voids your warranty. For your hdd I would get a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 range, picking whichever one depending on how much storage you need. With the graphics card, if you want top of the range you are looking at the NVIDIA 8800 series. What site are you looking to purchase the goods from? I am not sure that Newegg ship to Canada, so what site do you prefer? (I don't know any Canadian sites). This way we can help put together a decent list. Also what is your budget for this system, there isn't much point in us suggesting top of the range components if you only have $600 to spend.

You are correct, newegg only ships to the U.S. as of right now.
