strange occurance on a 1 month old build

Last night I went to sleep as normal, woke up this morning and my computer was stuck on the Asus P5N motherboard boot up screen (the one that it usually skips past after 5 seconds...the one that says press DEL to enter set up). So i turned the comp on and then off...freezes on that screen every time now for some reason...wont even let me hit DEL to enter set up...

i think what happened is windows shut it down to apply updates while i was sleeping, and now its freezing my computer...

what can I do?! how do I fix this?! I cant even enter setup to boot to a CD even if i wanted to reinstall windows (if i even had to, thats kind of extreme)...but I literally cannot do anything with my computer now !

help!

unplug the electrical cord from the back of the pc for a few seconds. plug back in and restart.

If the unplug doesn't work look in your MB manual and see if there is a manual reset for the BIOS. If that doesn't clear it then you will need to pull out components one at a time. It could be a MB that has gone south.
