Three quick questions

I'm pretty sure that the AMD is better, but I'm not sure and just wanted to check with people who actually know what they're talking about.

Second:

A motherboard (for the AMD) I'm looking at is listed as taking DDR2 667 ram. Newegg has both PC2 5300 and PC2 5400 listed as DDR2 667, Do you think the board would take either of these?

Third:

A different motherboard (For the intel) takes single-channel DDR2 533. Would dual channel work with this or should I not risk it? I'm asking because from what I can tell the dual-channel is cheaper.

Between those two, yes the AMD is better. However, If you willing to spend more... this will be well worth your money:

as long as there is two slots on the motherboard...yes.

Between those two the AMD is the better choice.

You should check with the motherboard manufacturer's web site and see if they have a list of qualified RAM that will work with that motherboard.

Dual Channel DDR is a function of the motherboard, not a type of memory. The Dual Channel kit is just two matched sticks of RAM sold together so people looking to enable the Dual Channel DDR function of their motherboard have a easier time buying RAM.

yes that brisbane windu linked is very nice, you should buy it. but try to get a retail version.
i use a 5600+ (equivilent to E6400)
