Money saving? Skip the SLI motherboard and get an ASUS P5B.
The powersupply you have is Waaaay overpowered, even for sli (and especially for just 1 card). Take a look at the Corsair HX 520
http://e3wwwtest.newegg.com/Product/...82E16817139001

Unless you plan on overclocking, that ram is overkill, get CorsairValuSelect DDR2 667 ram.
http://e3wwwtest.newegg.com/Product/...82E16820145098

And skip a sound card. Onboard sound is fine for most people, and if you decide you really want better quality, you'll want better than that $30 card you have listed anyway.

Also, the additional CPU cooler is unnecessary if you're not overclocking, and using it will void your cpu warranty.

The two additional case fans aren't needed; that case comes with fans.

That right there takes about 320 off your price...

I would also think carefully about that processor.....quad core isn't utilized by very much just yet, and it's REALLY expensive...

Would go for the Seagate 7200.10 in a SATA version for a HD and SATA with the DVD drive also.

I have the antec 900 and believe me with two 120mm and one 200mm fan you don't need any more fans.. You also won't need the artic silver.. Keep the stock cooler as LeftyAce suggested to avoid voiding your warrranty.. I would go with a retail version of Lite-On instead it has Nero burning rom included...

That doesn't make much sense...the improvement you'll see with sli is no where near 2X, and you won't see the benefits unless you're running a huge monitor at high resolution. Also, when the next generation of cards comes out, 1 next gen card always beats 2 previous gen cards in SLI, so unless you have a lot of money to throw at it right now, save the $$ and plan to upgrade to the latest and greatest video card more frequently.

I had the exact same idea when I went with sli, and I'm still running 1 card.....if I do upgrade anything, it'll be to get 1 8800, but I might be bottlenecked by my processor anyway, so you see how that went :-)

Fine on the overclocking; I'd just hate to see you get OCing parts and never use them :-)

I see that the ram you picked out is out of stock on newegg, so here's some corsair XMS2 that's available: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590
Equally overclockable, and at least as good a manufacturer.
